Fix Bixby Briefing Alarm Missing in Oreo Update – Galaxy S8, S8 plus & Note 8

Must Read

After updating my Galaxy S8 to the Android Oreo update for T-mobile users, I suddenly realized that the Bixby briefing option from the Alarms App went missing.

After doing some research, I found out that it can be fixed by following these steps:

    • Just open the Bixby homepage by swiping left on the home screen, if you have it disabled, you can long press on the home screen and enable it.
    • Then go to the settings from the top menu. And enable the Bixby voice feature. This should fix the Bixby briefing option in the alarm clock app.

If everything else fails, just delete the cache for Bixby and Alarm app from Settings > Applications. It should start working again.

Bixby briefing alarm is used to get the latest weather and time information when the alarm goes off. The digital assistant can tell you how much it is going to rain today in her sweet voice. I personally love this feature and find it useful to get all the information right off the bat when I wake up every morning.

Here is a video explaining the same.
